It is 10 minutes from the Madeiran mountains and 10 minutes from the beaches (Calheta or Madalena do Mar). Nearby there are 2 of the more than 200 levada trails that cross the basaltic masses of the island, Madalena do Mar and Achada, taking the hiker to a rare natural world.
